Morning! - A chilly one here - it feels like it's really wanting to snow!
Concerning the title of this post, Ms Austen mustn't have seen my home! Well, maybe it isn't so much that I do housework in a slovenly manner, rather that time seems to be absolutely filled with things which MUST be done and kept up to, then while my back is turned sorting out those tasks, somehow, piles of paperwork materialise behind me and it tends to take a long time to find any extra time to go through it. That's all it is - paperwork. Where does all tha paper come from?! Surely, I must fill a 2' x 1' basket with paper recycling every day. HOW???! Is it just me, or do you have this problem too? Are there malevolent paper pixies trying to ruin our lives? What did we ever do to them? Oh...maybe it's the wood elves...yes, I suppose they would have reason to be annoyed at our destroying their forests... Anyway, enough of my inane babblings...
This is what's been going on here this week:
Original Regency Lady painting on Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice book page (7.8" x 5")
Yes - lots and lots of Austen-esque, Recency-style painting. I've been concentrating more on the original 18th Century fashion plate paintings and drawings, with those whimsical, dreamy poses. I have had an inspiration wall in front of me too:
These two ladies appeared too:
Original Regency Lady painting on Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice book page (7.8" x 5")
Original Regency Lady painting on Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice book page (7.8" x 5")
More originals and prints for you lovely Austen fans are available here.
I'm itching to do some more, but have a few other creations to finish off this week! Here are a couple of them whom I showed you a post or two back:
There are more marine lovelies on their way too.... and if you haven't already, please come and say hello to us here to see what we're up to day-to-day!
Thanks for reading!

Hello!
"The Black Lodge Theatre" background scenery.
So, after a manic few days finishing the Twin Peaks Update, I'm having a day of getting my mind together and attempting to catch up with a few other tasks, which have been patiently (and not so patiently) waiting... Like this:
Chopping and packaging the Jane Austen bookmarks.
Using up all the recyclables I can - mainly for sturdy packaging, to keep your orders safe :) This used to be a GRAZE box. I love that company! YUMS!
On the way back from the Post Office, where I just happened to spot some bargain pink roses!
Brought them home, then messed about with my camera for a few minutes whilst tea was brewing.
What is that round thing behind there?
Oh - that old thing. It's one of these:
We think it's some kind of old mill wheel, adapted to be a hanger for um...hats? I imagine a nice trilby would look pretty good on there. Found in Falmouth, we haven't hung it anywhere yet - it's INSANELY heavy and needs a good, loving wall, where it can be hung, seen and rejoyced in! Yes.
Oh - maybe I should tidy some things - like those boxes which have been sitting in the bedroom, filled with...er...toiletries, clothing, toys. OK. Cup of tea and an hour or two before dinner-making time. I'm on it!
Toodlepip! Have a grrreat weekend!

Don't you agree?
Hello! I've been beavering away on a few different projects the last couple of weeks, so haven't been putting energies into keeping in touch with you guys :/ Sometimes I wish I could be one of those people who can survive on four hours of sleep per night, or even six, but I seem to be at my best on eight or nine. Plus, as the fantastico Dina (whom I don't see nearly enough, but we're planning on meeting up again with our respective sketch books soon) reminded me last week, on a short jaunt around the city - even people who claim they can get by happily on so little sleep are probably just kidding themselves - surely it can't be healthy...can it?
Recent projects:
A close up of two young cold-water fellows who will be joining the shop very soon! Meet Mr Beluga and Mr Narwhal! I can't get anough of those littIe smiles all whales seem to have! There is a little more work to do on them, but it won't be not long now :)
...and a few more peeks at the Twin Peaks dollies and scenery for the update this WEDNESDAY 25th Jan!!:
Thanks for reading and thank you new Facebook followers! (we're >>HERE<< in case you haven't found the FB page yet :)). It would be great to meet you!

Just a quick hello.
Here's an update on the Twin Peaks dollies. I never knew it would take this much work to get them to work properly. I haven't made any before, so it has taken some time to sort out all the niggling little problems such as repositioning of tags and making sure the garments don't slip off. I've also realised I should probably include a little instruction leaflet with them. I've been getting so pernickity with them - they have to be perfect for those of you who have been awaiting their arrival - thank you for your support and patience :) I'm hoping to get them into the shop in about 10 days! Eeek! I had better get on with it!

Happy New Year!
Hope you all had wonderful, cosy and fun holidays. Thanks to our lovely family and friends for putting us up and feeding us!! Here are a few pics of our Cornish Christmas ;) (and yes I have a new phone and I've been playng with the camera apps!).
Our ramble around Carbis Bay and Hayle Estuary:
Inland, at Merry Maidens:
On one walk, we went down a little side-footpath ans found this cool little fairy cove/ wishing well, covered with offerings! Love it!
Took the kiddies to see The Winter Wood, where we met Old Father Time, The Love fairy, the Fire Fairy (seen here) and many more. Amazing shadow puppet show and hot chocolate too! Fantabulous!! I did forget my wellies, though... :/
Lots of fresh air and adventure, board games and wonderful food - who could ask for more?
Along with the festivities, I found a little time for doodling a few new little things for you and for the shop:
Valentines cards have been printed and I have been glittering them up!
...along with a few little Twin Peaks characters (I love that blog - it has a load of stills from all the episodes, so I can get the clothing just right!)
More on these soon - I update Facebook pretty regularly here at PurrrArt - I'd love it if you'd like to come and say hello!
Here's more Audrey Horne clothing - if you're a fan, you might just recognise the scene ;)

I know I know - I've been trying to keep up, but our lovely Fab Friday, filled with lovely things from the wonderful, crafty people in our world, has fallen prey to the magical stampede of Christmas shopping feet!
THANK YOU!
...to all who have been browsing and ordering from the shop (and for those who haven't yet, you still have a few shopping days left!)
Also, I made up a little Christmas tags PDF (although I had some trouble keeping the quality high, but the file size low at first :/):
Featuring a few of my Christmas images from this year and last, then a couple of popular ladies from the Parisian vintage book page series (ongoing - there will be more in the New Year!!)
...and now for some wonderfully talented peoples' work! I reckon these would look so amazing in a child's room:
Have a look through Amy's shop (click her name above) - there are so many fantastic costumes and characters from all over the world. I want them all!
Tricycles. Eternally cute!
There's something about this giraffe that makes me smile and smile!
How utterly wonderful! Wish they had it as a light switch plate!
Sometimes...in fact quite often, I wish we had cardinals in the UK, then I feel a little guilty for not joust being happy with what we have already!
TOOOOOO cute!
I have to rush off to the PO now, then finish painting a little comission when I get back, then pick up Amelia from school and take her to her swimming lesson. Not sure I'll finish the painting actually, but grrr I will try!
I leave you with a couple of little snapshots of last night and this morn...
I felt like drawing some patterns last night :)
This morning's cuppa, cooling fast!
OK. I HAVE to get in gear and go!
