I've been messing around with make-up today:
I love gold eyeshadow right now - with a swish of turquoise eyeliner. Makes me feel slightly Egyptian!
We went to see the Good Friday parade today. This time, they brought out the figure of Christ lain down:
The statue of Christ and the one of Mary (Dolores - "Of the Tears" in this village) were carried to meet in the plaza, where they were turned to face one another, and Dolores lifted to bow to Christ three times. Those poor boys carrying the statues looked worn out, but it is a great privelage for them to be chosen as a bearer.
Dina arrives tomorrow, so we have to be awake reasonably early to drive down to the airport. On the way back, we're dropping into a large DIY/furniture store calle Bauhaus. Dina suggested we should go there dressed as goths, carrying ghetto blasters blaring out Bauhaus music, just wandering around the store. Then we should film ourselves and put it up on Youtube. Yeah.
I've had another day of not being able to get down to work properly - I seem to be floating around on another plane. I did finish one painting, and have begun another, similar one. This is a woodblock painting, and I love the idea of having an everlasting cuppa, which you can stand on your desk! Perfect!
