Maybe it's the Alice influence of the last couple of weeks. Let me explain. I have recently been comissioned to create a little Alice's Adventures In Wonderland painting. Thinking about Alice had reminded me of Emily Martin's lovely work over at The Black Apple, hence, I purchased her White Rabbit print:

Isn't he gorgeous?! I originally purchased him for Amelia's room, but he has taken to presiding over our living room instead, somehow... Thank you Emily!
Anyway, since I have this comission, I thought I'd buy a copy of the book purely for arty purposes (we have a couple of older ones, but I can't bare to take the pages out!) and have been making up a few of these:

...on which I shall surely paint very soon!
I've also been listening to this Librivox audio of Alice's Adventures and just today this one, of Through The Looking Glass. Lo and behold, the day the book arrived, I received a second request for an Alice comission, having had none in the five years of being an artist full-time. What on Earth is going on?Whatever it is, though, I have to say I'm enjoying it! Curiouser and curiouser indeed...
Other than that, I was glad to see a pack of magenta ink had arrived today, so I got on with a LOT of printing, chopping and packaging and ordered lots more supplies for the forthcoming weeks. Also, i've decided to make a few changes around in the shop, slowly but surely.

"Paris, 1962 - Armfulls Of Books" 8 x 10 print
You'll see more 8" x 10" prints hanging around (agh! no pun intended!) - it's such a perfect size for popping straight into a frame. Oh and I'll be trimming white borders for you, too. I know that some of you prefer it for framing and do let me know if you'd like to keep them, but those sold 'as is' in the shop, will be without.
I've been wanting more underskirts and petticoats recently. I don't know why. I'm also loving the different textures going on around my knees today!

I love those tights! A tenner at H&M, which is more than I'd normally spend, but wow they do a good job!

Note underskirt peeking out there, and those boots which I snapped up in the Clarks sale last week. Excellent!
Oh and just yesterday, a lovely lady left me some feedback for one of the prints she recently bought from me and included a photo of it, framed beautifully!

I have to say I absolutely love the frame she chose! Thank you so much!
Well, hope you're having fun wherever you are!
